Classic Salmon Fly Patterns is my fourth book published by Stackpole Books in 2012. It is Hardcover featuring nearly a thousand color photos in 346 pages. The book includes a DVD and measures 8 1/2 x 11 inches.

Classic Salmon Fly Patterns is the only book that departs from my "norm" of how-to books. The first three books are meant specifically to be resources for how to master the intricacies of tying Classic Salmon flies whereas this fourth book is a reference work filled with more than 1,700 Classic patterns for you to explore. All of these patterns were found in 37 books from the beginning of the 19th century through 1940 and spans the "Golden Age" of the salmon fly.

The book features the work of 86 salmon fly tyers from all over the world. It was an incredible experience for me work with and photograph the flies produced by these supremely talented fly tyers spanning the globe from the USA all the way to Australia and beyond.

All the patterns are cross-referenced to make it easy for you to find just the type of salmon flies you prefer to tie and each contributor to this book has a very short bio in the Appendix.

All books purchased from this site will be specially inscribed by me for the buyer.
